A Freeman Company re-launched its award-winning website (proactiveinc.com) this week, introducing an enhanced user experience with improved functionality, content and design.

"ProActive is in the experience business," says Arlo Bryan Guthrie, ProActive's art director. "Often we create experiences that foster a unified community; other times our clients' audience needs an individual experience. The online experience is unique because it is simultaneously individual and communal. Our new online presence keeps the user front and center and takes advantage of emerging technologies to more successfully engage our audience and position us as an industry thought leader."

Updated site content describes the go-to-market advantages of the agency's new relationship with Freeman (ProActive was acquired in April 2007) and features portfolio projects that are the successful result of the acquisition, including PCMA and Freeman's internal leadership summit, among others.

Other new and improved features designed to innovatively engage visitors include a blog-like section called Fresh, news feeds, and a site search engine.

• The Fresh section presents visitors with new ideas, websites and other recommended media from ProActive staff on a weekly basis. "We saw this as our opportunity to demonstrate our awareness and understanding of culture and the industry, and that includes the instant community that can form around an individual online experience," says Guthrie.

In addition, a new custom Content Management System caters to easy content entry, unlimited scalability and user-friendly site administration, allowing up-to-the-minute news and features to be instantaneously added. Design and content enhancements include original video of ProActive staff, and more robust portfolio and services sections.     

ProActive designed and developed all site content. "We aimed for a redesign to fit the vivid and engaging demeanor of the brand and existing site while changing the internal structure to one of scalability and management," says Lorenz. "I think our audience will be pleased."
